I completed my bachelor of science with first class honours majoring in chemical sciences at the University of Queensland in 2014. During this time I was awarded the University Medal as well as the TGH Jones award for achieving the best academic results overall for the second and third year of my undergraduate degree. My honours project utilised carbohydrate chemistry to synthesize a pharmacological chaperone for a rare childhood disorder, Mucopolysaccharidosis I.
I received the Australian Postgraduate Award in 2015 and am very excited to be continuing my studies in medicinal chemistry in the Fairlie group.
